IMF Chief eluding to unspeakable 1930s →
Article from today @ marketwatch, IMF chief, Christine Lagarde, previously serving as France’s finance minister, urges action to avoid ‘1930s moment’. WOW! It was a bold statement, but the writer wrote it as a reference to the 1929 market crash. Guess the NY Giants and the San Fransisco 49ers game where FOX and others, influenced the game score probably shook people up. 50 million viewers? I admire the IMF Chief’s candor and boldness, but I wasn’t to keen on the first solution, coming from a male with brown eyes, and certain … origins. Anyone want to play Pachisi , or a friendly game of chess instead?!? I’ve got a vivid imagination. Yeah, maybe that’s it!

The debt ceiling debate is reminiscent of Peter Minuit, a Dutch colonist who bought Manhattan from the Native Americans, Lenape Indians, for the equivalent of $24: foreign governments attempting to acquire significantly unappreciated assets, in this case, it appears, with the assistance of United States congress. The U.S. Tea Party, an organization of representatives who represent foreign interests, an eloquent antonym for the original Boston Tea Party incident. I am hesitant to mention China in this complex, yet articulate rendition of Peter buying Manhattan for $24.
